Topics this Term

This term, our topic will be ‘All about Me’.

Children will be involved in discussions and activities about what makes them special and unique, their families and homes. They will be introduced to one another and the staff team and reminded of/taught our preschool songs and prayers and introduced gradually to some Makaton signing which is used alongside some of our songs.

Alongside our main topic, each term we incorporate a ‘safeguarding’ topic. This term will be road safety. We will read stories and set up activities which promote understanding of how to stay safe on the roads.

Snacks

Each week we offer a healthy snack to all the children who attend in the morning sessions. Water is available throughout all sessions for the children to help themselves. Snacks include bread and butter, crackers, wraps, ham, cheese, fruit, cucumber and milk or water.
